My "walk" to Constellation Field took a hiatus yesterday, but as a result, I encountered an interesting science lesson.
I had a conversation with a window salesman about argon gas, which is used in double-paned windows. This gas is instrumental in building windows that efficiently keep hot air out of homes.
During the conversation, the salesman showed me the above video of an aluminum foil boat that appears to floats on air. Actually, the boat is floating on argon gas, which is very dense.
It is a very intriguing video, which puts a new spin on the question of what sinks and what floats.
